Rigani

Rigani, pronounced REE-gah-nee, is Greek oregano.

A vigorous and hardy perennial that can thrive in dry soil and hot temperatures once established. It's bee-friendly and makes a great addition to a pollinator garden.

Greek oregano tends to be the most savory and earthy oregano, while Italian is milder and Turkish is more pungent.

Used fresh or dry, Mediterranean types of oregano is the choice for dishes from this region, such as tomato sauces, pizzas, grilled meats, and other dishes with strong flavors.

In a pinch, you can use another Oregano as a substitute for Rigani, the flavor will be milder.
