1/2 cup Cranberries
1 cup Sugar » divided
2 tablespoons Water

45 Minutes 30 Minutes 1 hour 15 minutes
Directions:

This recipe can be prepared 3 days in advance.

1. Cook 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons water in heavy small saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

2. Transfer this mixture to the top of double boiler.

3. Add cranberries.

4. Cover berry mixture with a lid and place over simmering water.

5. Cook 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Remove the bowl from over the water in the double boiler.

7. Let cranberry mixture stand at room temperature overnight.

8. Drain any moisture remaining in the cranberries.

9. Place remaining 1/2 cup sugar on plate.

10. Add drained cranberries and turn to coat.

11. Let dry at least 30 minutes. Cover and refrigerate.
