1. In a large container, pour 1 gallon of white vinegar.
2. Add 1 cup of table salt.
3. Stir the mixture until the salt is completely dissolved.
4. Mix the dish soap in to the vinegar and salt solution.
5. If you choose to dilute the mixture with water, it may reduce the effectiveness.
6. Transfer the prepared solution into a spray bottle or garden sprayer.
7. On a sunny day, when no rain is forecast for at least 24 hours, spray the solution directly onto the dandelion plants.
8. Avoid spraying desirable plants and grasses, as the solution will kill any vegetation it contacts.
9. Reapply as necessary, especially if new growth appears.
