Ingredients:
Qty Unit Ingredient
2 1/2 cups Self-rising Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Butter » melted
1 cup Milk » approximately
Prep Time Process Time Overall Time
15 Minutes 30 Minutes 45 minutes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C / Gas Mark 4

1. Mix together the flour, salt, sugar and the butter.

2. Add the milk and mix well.

3. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.

4. Shape into a flattened ball and place on a greased and floured baking sheet.

5. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes.

6. Serve in moderately thick slices while still fairly hot.

This is a tasty bread. Not sweet at all. The bread turned out fluffy on the inside with a slightly crisp crust.
