How To Blanch Almonds1111

Place shelled almonds in a saucepan. Cover with cold water. Place the pot on the stove and turn the burner to high. Once the water boils, remove the pot from the heat and drain.
Return the almonds to the pan and cover with cold water to cool. This also stops the cooking process.

Press each almond between your thumb and forefinger and the skin will slip right off.

Dry almonds thoroughly on paper towels.
